Welcome to the Jamie Adams website on Hookit! Glad you could make it, I'm a vet motocross rider that participates in Local, Regional and National events. I won a few Vet Amateur - B/C titles this year at Reddick, Daytona and MillCreek. I was also fortunate to make my first trip to Loretta Lynn's for the 2012 Amateur National Championships. Check out my pics, and results and leave a comment for me. Come back often, See ya at the track!
About Me: I am a 45 year old from Spanish Fort, AL. I am a Sr. Project Manager for a Large Construction Management Company in Mobile, AL. I work hard, but enjoy the opportunity to play harder. I enjoy any sport that allows me to feel my adrenaline running through my veins. I’ve tried many others, but have found no other comparison to what I love to do, and that’s race motocross. I'm an outgoing, motivated individual who is dedicated to all facets of the sport of motocross. I am a member of the AMA and attend as many races as possible. I’d describe myself as an "Approachable Rider", meaning I enjoy being a people person helping young riders and/or new families that are just coming into the sport.
Racing Background: I got a start in racing at the age of 14 after many years of riding the local trails and power lines around my house. It seems I’ve always had a bike as long as I can remember. I raced up through the local amateur and pro ranks before putting everything on hold to attend and finish college. After college I raced on and off in the age group classes, but put racing on hold again after getting married and having a daughter. I continued to ride and race occasionally as I ventured into the working world and parenthood, but never to the level had I competed when I was younger. This went on for about 19 years. Fast forward to today…. My daughter is in college and I feel good about the sacrifices I made to get her to where she is. I’m back doing every weekend what I’ve always loved, racing motocross. At 45 plus I don’t have the speed I used to have but I still have the desire to compete at the highest level I can comfortably compete at. I usually ride 2 or 3 classes every weekend and am still very competitive on the local level in the age group classes.
Plans for the Future: My future plans for MX are to stay healthy and maintain consistency in my racing. I’d like to compete in the 2012 Mini Olympics in the 40+ and 45+ classes as preparation for the 2013 Winter Am Championships in Florida. I also plan to participate again in 2013 at all of the Amateur Nationals that I was fortunate enough to have won during 2012. Realizing my age, I'd like for it to be recognized that MX Life isn't over after 45! I have improved greatly with my stamina and speed since I am racing more frequently this year and hope that with the support of some good companies, I can accomplish all my goals for the remainder 2012 and for the complete 2013 seasons.
How I will add value to your company: I'm a conscientious individual with mutual respect for all riders and participants of this sport. I believe my riding skills, people skills, motivation, and determination could create ample opportunity for a sponsor. I will promote, endorse and advertise your company to the best of my ability, and demonstrate a sportsman-like conduct at all times, on and off the track.
