I started skateboarding my first year in High School and was immediately hooked. After my first year I began competing and traveling to events, and I soon found out that events are my favorite part of skateboarding.
I now run the largest indoor skatepark in West Texas, the One-9 skatepark. I manage all aspects of the business, as well as maintain all web and media content, and I also produce action sports videos for the park.
I am very comfortable on any boardsport, but skateboarding has assimilated into my life.
I think when I took over managment and running our local park really changed skateboarding for me. I don't just skate for myself anymore, I do it for the next generation of riders, and everyone else for that matter.
I have sustained injuries almost every year lately. I damaged my Achilles, tore my ACL, and have broken my foot all within a few years of each other, so I have never really produced a proper video part. This year I would like to finish (I have already begun) a full-length part.
