What is this and how do I get it?
I love pushing myself and seeing what I'm capable of. This year with the help of Zoe Nance of ZoeFitness.com I've been able to discover a whole new level I thought was out of reach!
Unlike road cycling, mountain bike racing is all about the individual. You don't have to rely on anyone else, and you have no one to blame but yourself for your performance! Plus, hitting sweet singletrack at high rates of speed is just awesome!
I do train. This year is the first year that I've had a coach and been super disciplined to stick to what's being given to me. I'm on the bike 6 days a week, usually a couple of hard interval days and at least one long multi-hour ride per week. Since I purchased a road bike this year, I've been spending a lot of time putting in the miles and doing the intervals on the road, it's so much easier than trying to do them in the woods.
Awesome! Any day I can get up and pedal a bike is a good day. My wife and I are expecting our 3rd child, another boy, and my kids are super excited about it. (Stacey and I are too!)
I love music. If I'm not racing, you'll find me with the ipod on as I'm riding. I like a mix of music, rock, alternative, hip hop, country, blues, you name it, I've probably got a sampling of it on my ipod.
