Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

Starting racing again for the 2009 season. More or less to push myself and take riding more seriously. Then I spent the season shaving a minute here and a minute there, enjoying the 10 to 20 minutes of pure pain from just pinning it in Super D races. Love it.

List your competitive highlights:

2009 was great. Raced the Team Big Bear So Cal series and walked with 3rd in class So Cal State. Raced the Rim Nordic Super D series, got a few podiums and racked enough points to take 1st in class. More than anything, earned a deep respect for MTB racing.

What are you planning for next season?

2010, Nor Cal Super D series, Sea Otter, TBF Super D series. With help from a Grass Roots program and SMX Optics, should be another great year!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Taking three months and dedication to knock a little over 2 minutes off my best time. No more excuses...

I'm going to race most of the Southridge races. They start this weekend. Not sure how many Super D's I'll do though. Really looking forward to Bonelli though. See you there.
