I started out racing mountain cross in Florida when it was called ABMX in 2003. By the time I moved to England in 2004, I heard it called 4X. I was hooked on the first race. I continue to race 4X and dual slalom even though 4X isn't as popular in the US as it was in Europe. DS, fortunately, is and I can be seen on most of the DS tracks through out the western US.
I managed several top three finishes in the UK and in Europe from 2004-2007. I think the highlight there was finishing in the number 3 spot in the nation (UK) in 2007 after biting and fighting my way through the season. My family and I had the time of our life racing there. In the US, I've finished in the top 5 in the national and managed a top 3 overall for 2008 and 2009. In 2009, I really switched over to BMX to see if I could capture a national and world title. In 2010, I had a devastating crash. I broke dozens of bones. The recovery took almost 1.5 years. Yes, it was that bad. But now, in 2012, I'm on the brink of a great recovery. So, the greatest highlight of all-my return to racing despite a severe accident that would have left most crippled for life only made me stronger and faster!
