Kris, my name is Frederick Bates from San Diego. I was the guy that hiked up Simpsons Hill to assist you and carried you down on the strcther to the Helicopter after you had broken your leg.
First I would like to tell you how sorry I am about the loss of your best friend. From what I am reading about him he seems like he was really one of the good ones.
When the time is right please contact me in San Diego regarding your helmet. I brought your motorcycle down the mountain the day after the race.
