More BIO » Let’s learn how “Flying” Mike Ryun 14 year career has gone. Ryun’s racing career started in 1997 in the street stock division. By the year 1999 Ryun earned his first track champion competing in that same division. He also earned a victory at the Northwest MO, state fair. In 2000 Ryun moved to the charger class were he came up just short of another track champion, finishing a close second place with 9 wins. Again he was the Northwest MO, state fair champion. He then jumped to a competitive modified division in 2001, where he was a track champion at Osborn, and was a third time winner at the Northwest MO State fair. In 2002 he ran in both the modified and a factorystock division. That year he was crowned track champ in the modified and factory stock along with piling up 26 and again winning the Northwest MO, state fair race for the 4th year in a row. In 2003 Ryun moved back to the charger division where he had 14 wins and won the Northwest MO points championship, he was the Winston track champ, and for a 5th time, won the Northwest MO, state fair race. In 2004 Ryun found himself back in a modified where he won another tack championship. 2005 was the year he received his biggest win in his career, winning the Tom Kerrick memorial at lakeside in the modified division along with another track championship at Grain Valley speedway. In 2008 Ryun jumped to the ULMA late model class. In his first year in the late model he was track champ at Grain Valley and finished second in points in the region and was also crowned rookie of the year. In 2009 Ryun jumped back in a factory stock to race a lakeside, after a late start he finished 4th in points. After a year off in 2010, Ryun got back behind the wheel competing in the Grand National Division. After running at both Winston and lakeside speedway he piled up 10 wins, in one stretch winning four times in a row. He was crowned both track champ at both of the speedways. This year, Ryun will be competing in the B modified division. He is looking for sponsor that he can help and who can help him
