2003 Anaheim 3 125cc Supercross Part 1 -
This is round 5 of the 2003 125cc West Supercross Championship. Coming into this round, Team Kawasaki's James Stewart, Jr. was on a tear, winning the last 3 races, setting a blistering pace nobody else in the 125cc class would dare try to match. His lap times were often comparable to the 250s. Bad luck hit Preston in a big way with confrontations with Pro Circuit Kawasaki pilots Eric Sorby and Matt Walker. Preston and Sorby got into a block-passing game at Anaheim 2. Matt Walker accidentally sent Preston into the Finish line scaffolding, resulting in another crash for Preston and an 11th place finish. That added up to a 25-point deficit to James Stewart. The AMA took matters into their hands and fined Matt Walker $1000 for the controversial move on Preston.
