Throughout my whole life, my dad has been a frequent mountain biker. I started riding my first bike without training wheels when I was about 3 and have loved the sport ever since. I started mountain biking when I was about 8 and rode an ok amount until about 4 years ago when I got really into it. The thing that really got me into it was the fact that I have a cabin by Downieville, California and a whole network of awesome crosscountry trails there. Another great thing that added to my love of mountain biking was the fact that I lived and still live in Marin, California, the place where mountain biking originated from. In Marin, I started out in Tamarancho and moved into technical downhills on pine mountain and other spots like China Camp, Loma Alta, and many more. I have become a very strong all around rider whether it be cross country endurance or shredding the downhill trails.
This is my first year racing and have already qualified for state in the NorCal league getting 19th out of 40 my first race after running the last 3 miles as a result of a broken chain and getting 3rd out of 50 on my last race.I love trying new trails and trying to make crazy technical sections. My biggest highlight in the sport of mountain biking for me is when I haven't been able to make a hard section of a trail and making it. This feeling of accomplishment makes me feel like I am improving my skills.
