About Me…
My name is Will Kallmeyer. I am 23 years old and from Brewster NY. I race ATV
motocross in the New England ATV MX series. This past year I raced a 08’ Suzuki LTR 450 in the 4 Stroke B and Open B classes. This was my second year running the NEATV series but I have been riding since 2002. Some of the things that I like to do outside of racing are cross training, weight lifting, working on my truck, hanging out with friends, and riding/racing snowmobiles. Throughout the season, I often rode at a practice track I have not far from where I am based out of in Brewster. When I can’t practice, I cross train on my mountain bike and lift weights to stay active and loose in between race weekends.
2011 Race Season…
Throughout this racing season, I felt like my riding skill grew dramatically.
Although some of my finishes do not truly show this, it was seen by my teammates and other riders who I am friendly with at the races. I had a tough crash at the first race of the NEATV series at Walden MX where I broke 2 bones in my wrist which had me in a cast for 12 weeks which kept my out of the hunt for the championships in both classes. After physical therapy for my wrist I was able to compete in a few races just to have some seat time and stay focused. I think my skill level increased due to my hard work in the gym during the offseason and continued cross training throughout the season. I ended up finishing 10th overall for the year in 4 Stroke B and Open B.
Outlook to 2012....
For 2011 I will be back on my 08 Suzuki LTR 450 and will be pursuing the college boy, 4 Stroke B, and Open B championships with the hope of moving to the 4 Stroke A and Open A classes before the season is over in the NEATV MX series. I will also be traveling to the ATV MX Nationals when they do not conflict with the NEATV races. During the off season I have increase my cross training and weight lifting regiments to ensure that I am in peak physical condition when the gate drops next season. Also we will keep riding until the cold weather sets in here in the north east and stops us from being able to ride. Prior to the season starting, I will be traveling to Florida with my teammates, Titan Racing, to get some seat time so that we will be comfortable and ready to compete and the highest level when the first race arrives.
