I have been riding more and more the past five years competitively, but I have been riding as long as I can remember. There is nothing better than the wind in your helmet and dirt on your wheels...
Five years ago a good friend that I worked with invited me to go riding at Cameron park. I took him up on it and dragged my old bike out of the shop. I hadn't ridden in years and it felt good to get back on two wheels, so the next day he went to Bicycles Outback and bought a new Rockhopper. Then I proceeded to hit trails all over Texas. Currently I ride as often as a married man working in retail can!
I ride both road and mountain, but prefers mountain over road any day. Just love the rush and technical skill involved with mountain biking. I currently ride a 26er mountain bike and a monstercross single speed bike. Most people think riding a single speed is a normal thing in the cycling community , but "I am a big guy and you rarely see that! Most big guys that ride complain that there aren't enough gears, but I prefer only one!"
