I started riding at age 6 (1985) and racing at age 12 (1991) in the 80cc 12-13 in New Jersey. In 1992 I started racing regional and amateur national events throughout the Northeast. In 1993 I bumped up to the 125C and Schoolboy class and I continued to race regional and national races including Loretta Lynn's. In 1994, I bumped up to the B class and in my first race of the season I broke my wrist at Englishtown, NJ. I missed Loretta’s that year because of my wrist, but I still attended many amateur nationals.
To pay for racing while in school I worked at the local motorcycle shop for 7 years. In 1998 I quit racing to go to college and after college I raced the 25+ class some. I quit again to get married and to start a family. I now have a 3 year old son and a 1 year old daughter who enjoy coming to the races with me and my wife.
I have started riding and racing this year in the 30+ class and I have bought a PW50 for my son so he can learn to ride. I am a true mentor in the pits to fellow riders and I am always willing to help others with their bike or with riding tips.
I raced many National level races as an Amateur including Loretta Lynn's in 1993 where I got 17th in 125C Stock and 30th in Schoolboy Stock. I have also raced countless Amateur Nationals at Budds Creek, Unadilla, Southwick, Steel City, Mt Morris, and Broome Tioga.
This year I started riding in late spring and I raced two local races at Austin Del Valle MX Park in the 30+ class on a 2007 CRF250. I am hoping to get a newer 450 so that I am not getting pulled down the straights as much as I am on my old 250. This coming year I want to travel to other tracks within Texas including some bigger races such as the amateur day of the Cedar Park Arenacross. When my son turns 4 next year I will start him racing if he is ready so that it is a family event.
