ello All, Today my Dad and I made the haul out to AV Motoplex in Lancaster, California. I had a heck of a time, and rode well and stayed safe. What always makes me grin about AV is all the big air you can get on the jumps! When I first went out in the morning, the track was really powdery and soft, making it very difficult to ride in. It felt like you were riding through quick sand, every time you were wide open, the bike did not pull as quick. As the day went on, the track got burned in a bit better. Around my third moto, I was really starting to pick the pace up. The whole time I was riding, I never felt out of shape or not in control. And on the corners, my Dad pointed out a few corners where it would be faster to take the inside lines, and not rail the outside berms. Overall, it was another great day, and I am excited to see how far my skills have come, and how I can improve them in the future. Afterwards, I guzzled a Monster to get my energy back up, and went to go shred the BMX track for Sunday night racing! I also had fun there, and made no major mistakes except for swapping out in the rhythm section, but I saved it! By the end of the Main Event, I had picked my lap times up, and picked my start and jump speeds up a bit. Well, overall today was a great day, between BMX and Moto...and tune back in soon to hear more!
