I've been riding since I was 5, I started showing when I was about 8, in small equitation divisions but did very very well considering the old horse I was riding wasn't exactly the best! haha! I swithed barns when I was 10 to ride a more hard to ride horse named Think Big- my first thoroughbred I ever rode- and he was what got me into jumpers. He was insane, I fell off everry ride because he was crazy-but I loved it, and kept goign! we won many local shows in ittie bitty jumpers, and got reserve state champs 2 years in a row. He tought me how to be fearless!! I then switched barns again and began to ride a huge Hanoverian named Sylvester. He was old, and had a sway back but we still did awesome and did some rated shows but not enough to win states points. Then I found a little horse named Bailey to lease- I began leasing her my freshman year. She taught me how to be strong and never give up. Then I started leasing Atlantic, who with some training, could go to advanced levels. I bought him 5 months later and trained him myself. I know have owned him for over a year! We have had some injuries, but we're recovered and heading towards level 1/2 jumpers which is where we originally started after I trained him to jump (he was a racehorse). He is just as athletic and willing as I am, he and I are a perfect match of speed and agility:D I love riding. I also ride a few other horses at my barn on a regular basis, including a tiny pony who I'm kind of sort of training to be kid safe!
