Im an high performance athlete who happens to live with a spinal cord injury from a small farming community born and raised on a farm who understands hardwork will get you anywheres before expectations do.
I compete in wheelchair sprinting as a t-53 athlete in the 100m,200m and 400m races. I love to race atv motocross and any type of racing I can get my hands into..I got injured 5 years ago training for a motocross race but it hasn't stopped me from doing what i love to do. Im Canada's first and only paraplegic to race mx (Stuntaplooza arenacross in PEI 2008, Redbud ATV National 2008 and Unadilla ATV National 2009 and multiple Loch Lomand MX races). I am Nova Scotias first para athlete to compete at both summer and winter Canada Games (2009 PEI for wheelchair racing and 2011 Halifax for wheelchair basketball).
I'm currently training to medal at the 2013 Canada Gamesin Quebec in the wheelchair racing events i decide to compete in.
I'm hoping to race local flat track atv racing next year and possibly one or two neatvmx races if my finances allow.
I live for speed and competition and racing gives me that need for it.
I'm hoping to be on Team Canada for para-athletics by the end of the 2012 or 2013 season, compete at the 2015 para-pan ams and 2016 paralympics in brazil.
I also hope to win my first atv race someday. Riders safety is always a top priority to me and I elive riders wether they trail ride, race or dune ride should always have every piece of gear on them as possible to avoid possible serious injury.
I think thats everything if you want to know more about me just ask. Also Im on twitter under paraquadmxer, atvriders.com under reconmaster and you can find me on facebook
