More BIO » Truth be told, I'm like the guy in Fight Club that is given a new lease on life; I decided to quit dreaming and start doing and, fortunately, unlike the character in the movie, no one had to put a gun to my head to convince me to do so. I've traveled down the "responsible" road - put myself through college, married my sweetheart, started a career, bought a house, started a business, etc. However, now it's time to pursue my dream of being a motorsports professional.

I started co-driving in stage rallies in 2008, a month after attending my first rally. Thus far I've had my share of overall and class wins and even won the national rally held in conjunction with WRC Rally Guanajuanto Mexico in 2011. Yes, I won a national rally in a foreign country in front of 400,000 spectators and stood on the same podium as Sebastien Loeb - we even have matching trophies. The week prior I participated in a press conference alongside Ken Block (it was a good week).

In 2009, I purchased a wrecked (rolled, actually) Honda CRX racecar, breathed new life into it and began road racing in Improved Touring in the Great Lakes Division of the SCCA. Rally is great but there is little in life that I find as thrilling as wheel-to-wheel racing. In 2012 I was given the opportunity to campaign a winged sprint car on dirt ovals, something I've dreamed of doing since I was a small boy spectating at the same tracks.

Having only begun to race a few years ago I obviously haven't amassed a plethora of championships just yet and maybe I never will, but I'm having a lot more fun than most people. The competition and resulting adrenaline rush is invigorating, but the camaraderie shared with fellow competitors after the finish line is crossed is nearly as enjoyable. Seriously, hanging out with people who love what they do is far preferable to going to a weekly happy hour with a bunch of corporate drones.

So who am I? I'm Ryan Scott, and I'm a straight shooter with upper management material written all over me. OK, so that last part may be a stretch, but I am going places. Want to come with me?
