The Gatorade Free Flow Tour is the Official Amateur Series of the Dew Tour. For six consecutive years Gatorade Free Flow Tour has searched the country’s premier skateparks giving top ams the once in a lifetime chance to "Flow to Pro".
The goal is to find top talent from across the country while giving skaters and bmx’ers of all abilities the opportunity to have fun while competing in a contest. Past winners have gone on to become some of the Dew Tour's most popular and successful athletes, including Mike Spinner who was second overall in the 2008 BMX Park standings and Chaz Ortiz, winner of the 2008 Dew Cup for Skate Park.
Highlighting the 2010 Gatorade Free Flow Tour is the addition of BMX dirt to the discipline roster – a first in the Tour’s six-year history. Travelling to Da Compound (Calif.), Windell’s Camp (Ore.) and to Dayton, Ohio stop of the legendary DK Dirt Circuit, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour will hold three BMX dirt competitions over the course of the summer.
In another first for the amateur circuit, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour will also raise the age limit of all of its skate and BMX contests to 21.
The 2010 Tour consists of 47 regional events across 30 parks in the U.S., featuring skateboarding (park and vert) and BMX (park and dirt). The winner of each regional event earns a trip to compete in the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals held at the Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, and the champions in the four disciplines of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals earn a spot to compete against the pros in the Dew Tour's season-ending stop. Gatorade’s partnership with the Free Flow Tour began in 2009, and with its presence comes an added commitment to uplift amateur skaters and BMX riders and provide an extended platform to grow action sports. Fuel TV broadcasts select coverage of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, and allisports.com is the home of all digital content and Tour information.
