This is the first race of the Outdoor Series at the Extreme Motorsports Complex in Airway Heights, WA.  I will be there competing in the 30A class and 4-Stroke Open.  My goal for these races is to place in the top 5 for both classes but you will hear no complaints if I place higher.  Unfortunately it has rained all weekend so......it should be interesting.......

Well, for the first time I did a tag team!  It was great my brother was my partner for the tag team harescramble we entered in the heavyweight class...he rode my 250 and I rode my 450.  This was his first race ever so my main focus was him finishing!! For a first race this was an intense one!!  Well he did it and did absolutely AWESOME!!  The track was extremely rocky and dusty and on top of that the amount of riders was amazing.  But I do have to say we couldn't of asked for better weather or a better race.  The sun was shining and neither one of us went down!  In the end we finished 13 laps in 02:51:29 and came in 21st out of 35 in our class and overall we finished 62nd out of 115! 

So the first race of the season went pretty well I had not rode my bikes at all yet as I just got them the week before the race.  I had some things to work out on both bikes getting comfortable with the difference from switching fom Honda to Kawasaki.  I took it easy on the track and didn't push really hard or even to my full potential as I was taking my time and feeling out both of my new bikes.  So with that said coming in 5th overall was wonderful of course I would of liked to come in higher (especially with the expectations I set for myself) but I can't expect to much when I'm not riding completely for the race mostly just taking it in as practice and as time to get comfortable.  Not by any surprise this race sure did just that and I am tuned in and ready to rock the rest of the race season.
