I started riding with my dad on his bike in our yard when I was about two years old. My first dirt bike was a PW50 which was a great learning bike. I moved up to a XR 50 and used it at a local trail riding area. For the last two years I’ve participated in the WHR Arenacross series which was a big change from trail riding. When I turned 7, my dad moved me up to a RM65 since I knew how to shift. Since then I have been riding local series, race and practice days.
The last two years we have focused on Burnt Ridge and hitting the Gold Star and Washington State series.
Highlights/Lowlights: I have been taking MX riding classes and I now feel I'm in control when I ride. My consistency has really improved because of the MX classes and I am finishing races with good results. The best benefit from the classes is that my confidence level has come up and I have a good foundation to build on.
Lowlight: I ended up getting hurt early summer and haven't been on a bike. Arenacross starts this November and that's when I will be back on the bike.
2012 I was 1st in the Burnt Ridge series in WA for 65 9-11 and 65 Open. It was really hard work, I was racing against some really fast friends. Next year I am planning on running the local PRO series. This will be a big step the fastest local riders in the NW compete there.
I've only competed a couple of times on my 85 this last year but was riding really well, That's the class that I'm going to be focusing on in the upcoming season. I've also been working out with my time off.
