On April 3, 2010, not only will Southern California make history screening the first ever feature length film about women in mountain biking, but history will be made again when mtbchick.com honors the 5 Most Influential Women in SoCal Cycling.
mtbchick.com and YOR Health are coming together to honor the women in Southern California who have done the most for women’s cycling. These are the women of vision who have given their all to help women find cycling. From road, to mountain bike to triathlon and even urban cycling, those who have done the most to further the cause have largely been unnoticed by not only the media, but also the general public. Coaches, promoters, team managers and other visionary leaders in Southern California have touched many lives, and now they will finally receive due recognition for their efforts.
Individuals, businesses and clubs are encouraged to nominate the women they feel have had the most influence. Send your vote including personal testimonials and details to: womenofdirt@gmail.com.
Nominees will be listed on mtbchick.com web site. A panel comprised of sponsors and industry leaders will choose the Honorees who will be announced at the 3 April screening of Women of Dirt.
