How I got involved in racing is my dad taking me to Michigan International Speedway to watch the IndyCars. My family is very close to Pat Patrick who was an IndyCar team owner. Pat is the reason I am in racing today. My father, therefore went on to work for Roger Penske and thats where my passion for racing really started. I started going around the country to different races and events and was learning how this sport works and absolutely fell in love. I did some karting through the years but nothing serious. I finally moved into actual cars at Skip Barber Racing School and from there I started to really excel. I am currently in the Skip Barber National Series and plan to move up the Mazda Road to Indy Ladder.
With having very little car experience I was chosen out of 3,000 applicants to participate in the inaugural IndyCar Academy at Sebring International Raceway last january. Fromm there I went straight into the Skip Barber National Series where I placed a podium in my first race. I am currently 10th in points out of 48 competitors. I was offered rides next year in both Formula Ford 1600 series and USF2000 series. I will be going down to Oklahoma City for testing in the F1600 car late in September and will be going down to Indianapolis to test the USF2000 car in October.
My goal for next year is to move to the Formula Ford 1600 series either here in the U.S. or over in the U.K. Formula Ford 1600 series.
