Baja Race Bike Build

Here's some video footage of the my baja race bike build mixed in with some training and sidecar fun. I've been shooting a lot of video because I'm hoping to some day edit together a documentary story about chasing my Baja dream.

NCHSA Championship Series, Daniels Ridge 4/05/09

As part of my Baja 1000 training I plan to race one Hare Scramble a month. This was my first Hare Scramble and only my second time being on a motocross track. This along with the jack rabbit start made it a bit intimidating for me at first. In RallyMoto races I'm used to getting times out either 30 seconds or a minute apart. Once I settled into a groove all fear went away and I had a blast. I came in 4th Place in the Unlimited 35+ Class and I'm looking forward to doing even better next time.

NASA RallyMoto is one of the newest and fastest growing motorcycle sports. A two wheel version of the classic European stage rally, which Travis Pastrana made famous in the US. Typically rallies are around 250 miles on closed public and fire roads at speeds reaching over 100 miles an hour. It's a test of endurance skills and navigation.

	Hey, thanks for the add! Great profile - 5* Good luck to you and your quest for Baja. I live a stones throw from the Mexico border and our Desert is typically used as training grounds for people racing in Mexico. District 38 has a few teams going down there and they always do well - you may have heard of Craig Smith or maybe on a quad Wayne Matlock? I really wish you all the best and be very careful down there!! We were at a Corr Race at Laguna Salada and there was a shoot out right next to us and then of course there was the motorcycle guy who got shot by a random rancher. We know the culture, language and our way around and will not even go down there anymore. It really is not worth what CAN and does happen - remember what happened to the Mc Millin family not too long ago. Again, really be careful and I wish you the best of luck!!!! 5* all the way DZRTBNY
