Once A Year: Since 2011 | Mostly Local
||Since 2011 - I'm Just A Fan
It all started back in 2010 when I went to my very first FD event. I had seen some videos online and saw it was coming to my town not knowing the event would go down in the history books of drifting and I was about to be apart of it. I was in shell shock seeing these cars slide past me in access of 90mph, as soon as I experienced it live I was hooked. Ever since drifting has become my obsession! If I'm not actually drifting I'm ether on the computer on forms or drifting websites reading up on the most current news or on youtube just watching old and new videos. There isn't one minute of the day that drifting is not on my mind and it's because of that I know it is my passion and that it will now always be a big part of my life. Since that first FD event I started teaching myself how to drift by going to local Drift Clinic events and also just by observing the local drifting scene. I converted my daily driver/show car into my amateur drift machine and have been using that to hone in my skills ever since. This summer I plan to have a complete overhaul of my car as I wan to get more involved, more serious in the sport and try to get my FD license in the not to distant future.
The biggest highlight in my drifting career has to be when I competed in the Octane Academy. I was one of the eight chosen to compete in Vaughn Gittin Jr's Drifting camp on season one. Even though I didn't end up winning, due to the circumstances I came out as a winner. Being given the opportunity to meet and be taught by my biggest idol was just surreal to me. I took so much away from the whole experience but most of all it inspired me to really go hard and follow my dream.
My goals for next year(this up coming 2013 season) are big. When I come back from school in the early summer I plan to sell my current drift car (also a daily driver) and start from schratch with a whole new set up. I plan to buy a whole new car and build it from the ground up into a full fledge drift monster.
