As a young boy growing up in Western North Carolina, I decided I wanted a dirt bike to ride around the mountains around our home. The only way I was allowed to get a bike was to earn the money from mowing lawns all around my local area. I would mow each lawn for $5 and eventually earned enough money to buy myself a Honda 75 XL dirt bike. I rode that bike most every day, around the hills and trails. When I turned 16, in 1988, I decided to trade my bike in for a car and that was the last time I had been on a bike.
Then in September of 2005, I got the desire to ride again. I went out and purchased a new dirt bike. I soon found myself riding as much as possible at local tracks. After a few months, I started going to the races on the weekends. I had so much fun that I began going to the race series all throughout florida. My first full season was filled with learning the ropes of racing and getting to know all the people in the pits.
After my first season was over, I continued riding and continued getting faster. Over the next few years, I have raced numerous florida series races, arena cross races, and night series races. In 2009, I qualified for the regionals of the Loretta Lynns and also won a 3 race series in the 35+ class. My results are at an all time high with a 3rd overall finish in the 6 race, 2010 South Florida Motocross Series and a 2nd overall finish in the 2011 Florida 7 race series.
