March 11th, 1990 was the day I was born. I knew I was born to ride and I couldn’t help but fall in love with everything about dirt bikes and mud. I eventually got sick of even looking at dirt bikes, and wishing every year, that maybe this Christmas there would be a dirt bike under the tree with my name on it. Unfortunately, there never was, which I can understand now that they weren’t very cheap. So I decided to take matters into my own hands; I was so sick of that stomach twisted feeling of just thinking about a dirt bike, or the jealousy I had when I saw someone else’s. From this time on, I knew with the ambition I had, it was time to never look back; so I started collecting cans out of every houses recycle bin that I could find, and stopping for every penny on the ground I walked across. IT ALL PAID OFF! I was around 12 years old and that one day came where I had enough money to buy something, anything with a motor in it I didn’t care! My father didn't really want me getting a dirtbike so he had me think about what i wanted and to search online. Funny thing is i did find something else. I wanted with all my heart and soul to buy a Gyroplane! Even if it was a basic model, Like the one in that movie "Fly Away Home," where the girl has her geese follow her all the way down south. I loved that plane and when i was little i wanted to fly so bad. All i ever dream about was being able to fly and feel the wind beneath my arms and chest or to go into outer space....I wanted to reach for the moon. The good news was that you didn't even have to have a licence to fly one! The bad news was they were about $3,000 and up. Eventually my father took me to Wal-Mart and I ended up buying a go-cart. It did not take long before I realized there was not any fulfillment in that decision. So within about 5 hours there we were on our way back to Wal-Mart to return that stupid thing (The person at the return desk said, “It’s too fast for you huh?”) that was one of my problems, it wasn’t fast enough hahaha. Shortly after I ordered my first mini bike offline I built, and painted it myself (with a little help from dad). Not too long after that, I knew I was ready for bigger and better things. Back to collecting cans and finding ways to make extra money. I sold my mini bike within the next year and got a 1994 Honda XR100 and not to long after that it was the same way every time, I needed bigger and bader bikes. About a year after i bought a newer 2003 Honda XR100R. Shortly after that It went from the adrenaline fear of my next bike, which was a 2001 Honda CR80 and never stopped; Following a 2003 Honda CR85 Expert, 2003 Kawasaki KX100, and 2004 Kawasaki KX125. I had kept the CR85 Expert and the KX125, but it stopped there and I was about 16 years old. I was busy working by then and lost a bit of my passion and found myself spending less and less time with my bikes, which everyone enjoyed; including my mother and grandma, because of how crazy and reckless I was on it and all the injuries I had already been through. I did the whole teenager thing, rebelled, partied, and eventually sold my bikes. But I always missed them, and always thought about the memories, and always knew that one day I would get another. Well that day came spring season 2011, my buddy had signed up for NESC Motocross and wanted me to race with him but at that time i wasn't really interested. But i figured id at least go and watch him race. Needless to say, as soon as I set foot out of the car and smelt the air I had the worst anxiety I've ever had in my life. Watching them race was just pissing me off to no end! I wanted to push everyone off their bike, or at least just get in there and show them whose boss hahaha. Everyone knows that feeling of competition, and the feeling of that power right underneath your control. My hands and legs were shaking, my mind could not stop racing, and the anxiety attack was just getting worse. What could I even say to all this? I had found my love again, and in no way could I control my emotions! I could not believe that all these years I had ignored my true passion!!! Well to make this long story short, two races later at 21 years old, I had already searched and bought “Beky”, my 2008 Kawasaki KX450F. I had broken my arm that spring on a 2001 Honda 400ex 4wheeler that I had bought for the winter of 2010, and had to go thru surgery. However, I never let that set me back. By the fourth week out of surgery, I was already on my bike, riding with my cast. It might not have been the smartest idea, but I couldn’t help myself, or let it get me down at all one bit. Then as soon as my arm healed spring season Motocross had ended, so I signed up for the 2011 fall series. I ended up finishing, placing 2nd overall in New England. I KNOW I WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT A DIRTBIKE AS LONG AS I LIVE! (Or as long as I am capable to ride).
